Delivery Information

 All items in stock will be delivered within 3 working days from receipt of order. Items that are not in stock will be placed on backorder and sent to you shortly after they arrive. Don't hesitate to contact us if you need to receive your item(s) by a specific delivery date or if the order is urgent.

Delivery periods and dates are given in good faith but are not the subject of any warranty or condition. The Company does not accept any liability if delivery periods or dates are not met for any reason whatsoever. 

 

Suppose an item in your order is out of stock. In that case, we will advise/discuss whether you would like part shipment immediately or to wait until the entire order is available.

Non-delivery must be advised within 7 days and in writing to enable us to claim from the carrier.

 

Any shortage or damage on delivery must be reported to us immediately and confirmed in writing within 3 days. 

You agree to inform us of delivery difficulties at the point of order and agree to waive any additional charges levied on us due to delivery difficulties. We will assume (unless informed) that delivery can be made on a 17-tonne vehicle with level access for pallet delivery. Unfortunately for insurance reasons, we can only deliver to the ground floor.

 

Delivery charges are subject to variation without notice.

We reserve the right to apply extra delivery costs for delivery to areas outside England, Wales, and Scotland's South Eastern areas.

We shall not be held liable for any consequences of delayed delivery, loss, damage, or non-delivery that we are unrecoverable by the carrier.

A Proof of Delivery from the courier shall be taken as proof of delivery to your premises. We are not accountable for any failure of delivery where there is Proof of Delivery provided by the courier.

 

Clients will be entirely responsible for all goods left safe upon your instructions. This will be deemed proof of delivery.

There is nobody present to sign for the delivery. The shipment may be held at your local depot and attempted to deliver the following day again. Suppose the second attempted delivery is still not successful. In that case, the goods will be taken back to the depot and returned to Mellcrest. The customer agrees to indemnify us against any charges levied on us for the return of the goods. We will delay re-despatch to you until you have reimbursed us for the unauthorised return.

Orders under £300 (excluding VAT) we charge £7.95 per order.

Orders over £300 (excluding VAT) we supply free carriage.

Offshore Carriage Terms

The following areas outside of the UK Mainland destinations are subject to delivery charges as listed below:

Orders under £300 (excluding VAT) we charge £15.00 per order.

Orders £300 - £500 (excluding VAT) we charge £30.00 per order.

Orders £500- £750 (excluding VAT) we charge £60.00 per order.

Orders £750 - £1000 (excluding VAT) we charge £100.00 per order.

Orders over £1000 (excluding VAT) we supply free carriage.

 

Northern Ireland (BT), Isle of Man (IM) & Isles Of Scilly (TR)

Applicable Postcodes: BT1-BT94, IM1-IM9, IM99, TR21-TR25.

Orders under £300 (excluding VAT) we charge £30.00 per order.

Orders £300 - £500 (excluding VAT) we charge £60.00 per order.

Orders £500- £1000 (excluding VAT) we charge £120.00 per order.

Orders over £1000 (excluding VAT) we supply free carriage.

Carriage and packing charge is classed as a service and as such is subject to VAT.

Returns Policy

Returns are free & easy, there are no hidden costs

We want you to be totally happy with every product you buy from Mellcrest.

You can return goods within 30 days of purchase. The goods must be in its original, saleable condition. Returned items must be unused, undamaged, complete and in the original unopened packaging. 

Our friendly team will happily assist with arranging your return. Simply follow the steps below:

1. If you would like to return an item for any reason, call our Customer Service team on 01727 266822 or email [email protected]
2. One of our sales team will issue you with a returns code which will be valid for the 30 day return period
3. Goods must be in the original condition that they were supplied to the purchaser as if not we will be unable to issue a refund or exchange.
4. Any special order products or non stocked items may not be returnable, please discuss this with a member of our team
5. Refunds will be made onto your account or the card used for the original payment, please allow up to 14 days for refunds to be processed. For account customers a credit note will be issued.
6. The item is your responsibility until it reaches us and we recommend that you use a service that insures the product in transit. 
7. For faulty items they must be returned in the original state of purchase as any changes made will invalidate any warranties and could potentially impact a full refund or replacement.
